A Gift From My Brother

I am on my way back to the west coast now as I have been here in South Carolina for 3 weeks.  I have been in very close quarters with my family as my 34 year old brother just underwent major heart surgery 4 days ago.

My brother has always had a special gift, a very positive mind and a natural joy. He just went through one of the most serious surgeries possible, with a recovery that for most people is incredibly challenging...and not once has he complained of any pain. He has been very much alert and awake.  Whenever we ask him how he is feeling, he says, "Wonderful".

I feel so blessed to have been able to be here during this time and feel what I am feeling and experience so much love.  What I am learning from all of this is so deep and beyond words that the only way to describe my experience is Heaven.  This is what Heaven feels like.....to experience so much love pour out of one person. It is no coincidence that my brother, who has the most incredible and loving heart I have ever known, is sharing his heart in huge way with all of us.

I am very grateful to my brother for being a sacrifice to his family and community so that we may all experience a taste of the Universe.  Thank you, Taki, for being the human that you are, and teaching me about the simplicity and depth of Love.And thank you, Taki, for being the patient who surrenders to all that Life has to offer, and for opening your heart so that I can have the opportunity to feel the depth of of my heart.  

I love you so much, and words cannot even express the gratitude that I feel for your generosity of sharing yourself with us in this way.  You are a saint, and I am forever in service to the God in you.
